Irina Gladkikh

Irina Gladkikh, Ph.D is a senior researcher of the Laboratory of Peptide Chemistry and Laboratory of Molecular Pharmacology and Biomedicines (for the last two years) of G.B. Elyakov Pacific Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry, the Far-Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (FEB RAS). For more than 15 years, her scientific interests have been focused on the chemistry and pharmacology of biologically active peptides of sea anemones inhabiting both tropical and far-eastern seas. Dr. Gladkikh is the author or co-author of over 50 publications on physico-chemical and functional characteristics of Kunitz peptides, inhibitors of α-amylases, and toxins targeted on Nav and ASIC channels. Her research has been funded by the Russian Science Foundation and FEB RAS together with the Ministry of Science of Taiwan. Since 2018, she has been a member of IST. She works closely with students and teaches them experimental work. Dr. Gladkikh participated in seven marine scientific expeditions, including International ones.
